Christine Conelea, PhD is an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences at the University of Minnesota and a licensed clinical psychologist. Dr. Conelea received her BA from the University of Nevada, Reno and doctorate from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She completed a predoctoral internship and post-doctoral fellowship in child mental health at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. Her training was supported by T32, F32, and K23 awards from the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH). Dr. Conelea's research interests are in Tourette Syndrome/tic disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and anxiety disorders. She is particularly interested in understanding how the brain, environment, and psychosocial factors interact to impact symptoms and treatment outcome. Dr. Conelea's research integrates behavioral and neuroscience methods, including neuromodulation and brain imaging. She is also interested in developing symptom measurement tools, disseminating efficacious cognitive-behavioral therapies (CBT), and studying ways to improve CBT outcomes. In her spare time, Dr. Conelea enjoys braving the wilderness, learning how to be a drummer, playing NYT word games, and hanging out with her objectively cool kids.

Brianna Wellen, PhD | Post-Doctoral Associate

Brianna Wellen, Ph.D. is an NIH T32 postdoctoral fellow in the CAN Lab.  She earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Skidmore College, her doctorate from the University of Utah, and completed her pre-doctoral fellowship at Oregon Health & Science University.  Dr. Wellen’s research centers around Tourette Disorder and related disorders such as OCD, anxiety, and ADHD. She is primarily interested in examining interventions for these disorders: how they work, for whom they work, and strategies for improving their effectiveness and accessibility. In her spare time, Dr. Wellen enjoys going for walks and hikes with her friends, family, and dog.

Emily Wilton, PhD | Post-Doctoral Associate

Emily Wilton, Ph.D. is a postdoctoral fellow in the MnTiC Lab.  She earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Creighton University, her doctorate degree from Kent State University, and completed her pre-doctoral internship at Hennepin Healthcare. Dr. Wilton’s research centers around pediatric OCD, Tourette Disorder, and anxiety disorders. She is specifically interested in examining risk factors for the development and/or exacerbation of symptoms and factors that may impact the effectiveness of interventions. In her spare time, Dr. Wilton enjoys hiking, running, and spending time with her friends and family.

Sarah Hodapp, BS | Lab Manager

Sarah graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a BS in Genetics and Spanish. As the MnTiC Lab Manager, she oversees lab research efforts and runs many aspects of research studies. After graduating, Sarah served in the National Health Corps providing care coordination at a community health center in North Philadelphia. She also spent over 2 years years working as a Behavioral Therapist for young children with ASD throughout the Twin Cities metro area. She is excited to utilize her background in therapy to help study a potential treatment for individuals with tic disorders. In her free time Sarah enjoys music, the outdoors, and spending time with family and friends.
